Lecture: Sreedevi Bringi: Musical Discourse on the Bhagavad Gita - Timeles Teachings for Turbulent Times LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

How do we prepare ourselves and assist other seekers to be ‘real’ in our life encounters, to experience ‘authentic presence’ in these complex, turbulent times? Through the timeless yogic teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, explore the Yogi archetypes of Sri Krishna as the wise guide and Arjuna as the despairing warrior king on an ancient battlefield. Assisted by musician daughter Sheela Bringi’s flute, harmonium and vocal music and with Brent Kuecker, Sreedevi engages with the ancient craft of hari-katha (melodious sacred verse chanting and story-telling). Explore wisdom teachings of the 3 pathways of yoga (karma, jnana and bhakti) linked to the 3 human temperaments (gunas) through Sankhya cosmology, the framework of Yogic liberation (kaivalaya) or moksha.  Use the Gita teachings to cultivate resilience and reframe our outlooks during these turbulent times, while being supported by yogic community.
